Asia is booming. Not only multinational groups use that opportunity but also small and medium-sized enterprises from Germany invest in Far East and post employees to China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, India and Singapore. To adapt and work successfully with the different cultures, it needs both professional and personal skills. Particularly these soft skills e. g. empathy, patience and the ability to communicate are essential for doing business in Asia. Communication is always a two-way process. In Asia, a good business conversation is more about listening to your business partner than just talking about yourself.
